Prayer WORKS!
God has blessed us with an amazing weapon...Prayer.
Prayer can pave the way for whomever you choose to pray for.
It is a powerful weapon that is so often unused.
God has made a point in my prayer life lately.
Like many Christians, I sometimes get in a prayer rut. Things are going great. I pray my "normal" prayers BUT the passion and desire for change isn't 100% there. That passion comes in like a raging storm when things are not right. When your life turns upside down. When you are forced to your knees. It is then that you have a revival in your soul for Gods help.
The awesome thing...
God never gives up...
God is there always waiting for you and hoping you come to Him.
The power in prayer is so often taken lightly.
There are some things you pray for that you might not think you'll ever have answered but what seems like an unanswered prayer is sometimes the very opposite.
God is all knowing.
He knows what you want AND what you need. He knows that what you want isn't always what you need. This is hard to understand if you are praying for "Godly things".
I have thought,"Why wouldn't He want to answer this prayer?"
Many times when you don't see answers it is God working on you!
That might be hard to take but God is preparing us all for something great. He is molding us (if we let Him) for His purpose and to do His work.
As Christians we have been forgiven and should strive each day to be more and more like Jesus.
We will never be just like Him but we should live by His example.
That's why I always say to try to be better each day.
Live a better life...eat better...treat others better...treat your self better.
Enjoy this ride God has given you called LIFE~
Put prayer in the forefront of your life as a unwavering weapon.
Believe in the power!
Understand that through your prayers you are building your relationship with Christ.
A quote from the book Do Hard Things:
"Don't live your easiest life, live your best life according to God."
I appreciate that quote.
We all have a choice to let life go by with little impact, little risk, little room for failure.
OR
Live life to the fullest. "DO HARD THINGS". Push yourself to be better and make a difference in this world...in Jesus name! That means getting out of your comfort zone and sometimes into the crosshairs of flaming arrows. That might even mean you fall down...you fail but failure is never complete failure. There is always something learned in the process of putting yourself out there and trying hard things
Unwind....I suggest prayer as your ultimate unwind.
Knowing that "Gods got your back:)" brings peace...that peace brings joy.
Here are some special people I pray for:)
They recently spent 2.5 days away from home on a camping trip with their grandparents.
Before leaving I covered them in prayer. Not only for safety but for flexibility (since not in normal routine), to be a light of Jesus, to be a calm spirit if up against a not so calm spirit, and to have a great time b/c God desires all that for us too!
They returned home safely, they had a blast, and they were flexible.
Lord help me never to forget this powerful weapon you have given me!
