Changes in life doesn't mean changes in your foundations
My new chapter in life still has my foundation firm.
My foundation:
*God is first and always!
This means honoring and serving Him in all I say and do.
*I take care of my family!
Loving them, making time for them, helping them in anyway, praying with them,
AND feeding them healthy food.
I've home schooled my kids since Kinder but this year, 3 of my 4 kids will
be entering the public school system and my oldest will be
on campus at the local community college 2 days a week.
For years, I thought that there would be NO WAY I would ever
"enroll them" but God comes first.
What I had really said was this,
"God put the desire in my heart to home school, so He will have to be the one to take it out"
AND HE DID!
He has been opening my eyes to things He knew I needed to see
for a couple of years.
As I prepare my schedules and supplies, I am trying to be aware of how
I can glorify God in all I do.
How can I bless those I'm in contact with and that are spending their
days with my kids?
I'm determined to keep feeding the kids healthy non or low processed foods.
This is a passion of mine.
Lunches...snacks...breakfast and dinner!
BUT more importantly
Still feeding them spiritually!
Just because I won't be with them 24/7 doesn't mean I can't be
a spiritual influence.
What else is changing?
{And NO I'm now pregnant! hehe}
I am enrolled in school too!
More specifically realtor school.
I have gone through the selling process enough and
really enjoy reality. Those who know me know I'm pretty good at it, too!
I can also be flexible and yet still have something "I" can do
to possibly help provide some extra funds for
college accounts/ retirement/ new house early payoff/ and some fun stuff too:)
I'm EXCITED!
I am taking my first course Monday.
I've chosen an accelerated 2 day course...EEK!
2 days to test out of a 6 week course.
I've been trying to study ahead in the book.
Please pray for me!
Does this mean I've taken off my stay-at-home mom hat?
NOPE-
It means I wear my hat and add a coat:)
My husband and kids are excited for and support me.
They're awesome!
Many more things are changing.
One of which is that we are building again!
We are building a beautiful home in the TX hill country.
We are making lots of decision for our home to accommodate our new life style and
also thinking of the best things for resale.
We plan on being in this home for at least 10 years...longer then any home
we've ever own but if we go to sell it...10, 20, 30 years down the road...
we want to have made the right decisions in the beginning.
Good thing I'm pretty good at that, wink wink!
{BTW, Todd is too!}
For each change God is doing..we are excited.
We know there will be struggles but
perspective is everything and struggles are inevitable!
Life is filled with struggles,
it's how you handle those struggles that makes you who you are:)
*Pssss....and if you don't handle one struggle well...don't worry,
you'll have a chance to do better next time!
So look for pictures of the building stages of our home and also are life in the near future.
I've had my camera packed a way for too long...
Time to bust it out and keep that passion going too!
UNWIND:
DON'T BE SCARED OF CHANGE!
So many people are and make
things hard on themselves.
Life is always changing!
YOU get to decide how you will react to it~
YOU GET TO CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY OR NOT
NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS IN YOUR LIFE!
CHOOSE HAPPY!
