A man's mind vs. his heart

The other day, the people on my favorite Christian radio station
were saying that asking a man what he was thinking about...
was probably the question he most hated to answer.

Especially, if he's not saying anything at that moment.

They said it's because a lot of times they aren't thinking about anything.

UMMM~

As a woman, I find this SOOO hard to believe!

But I NOT a man.

So, there was much debate over the air and it was fun to listen to.

I start with that today because I have SO much in my brain and my
heart that I almost can't think.

I wonder.

Maybe that's what the guys state of minds are.

Some if my thoughts are from what has occurred this past week.
They're wonderful happy things.
My daughter just turned 16!
She passed her drivers test.
She also started 2 college course this month and had her first exam last weekend.
Did AWESOME by the way:)
All these things required much from me.
In one aspect or another, all of which I was gladly willing to give.
But now I'm tired.
and I have other things on my mind that I'm thinking about.
The party and decorations.
Her safety...and more.

Some other things.....
The other day we rented an awesome movie.
COURAGEOUS
Many have seen it.

It is an AWESOME movie.

Really its more than a movie.
It's a kick in the b-u-t-t.
I wasn't sure how My hubby took it other than "that's a great movie"
until about a week later when I was riding in the truck with him.
I just asked him casually how HE was doing.
Not how work was going.

He said well....Honestly trying to do better!

That answer surprised me.
Why?
Because he is a great dad and husband.  Not perfect but great, none the less.
He went on to say that
he thought he was doing good as a dad and as a husband
until something comes along and shows you that you need
to do more and do better.
I'm sure you know that my heart jumped.
That's one of the things I love so much about my husband.
He is teachable...mold'able.
Not by me.
But by the holy spirit.
He is willing to change if change is needed.
Not change WHO he is unless WHO he is is not WHO GOD needs him to be....
but change What he does, when he does it....how he does it...
A man of God!
A man of Honor.
I read once
(by someone that I don't believe is one with much manhood)
That a man is one that is one that
can take more, move forward, and act like everything is ok.
(paraphrased)
In my opinion, that is nothing what a man is.
It is actually sad to me when I see this definition of a man.

A man stands for good. A man tries always to do what it right.
A man...a real man has INTEGRITY!
Let me break here for a short educational moment.
This is needed for some do not know.

*integrity |inˈtegritē|nounthe quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moraluprightness he is known to be a man of integrity.the state of being whole and undivided :• internal consistency or lack of corruption
If you have integrity you are the same here then you are there...Parents don't have to worry if you'll do wrong because you'll be the same with or without them. Friends don't need to think that you'll speak poorly of them to others because you'd already have spoken to each other about what is bothering you if indeed it is really worth the trouble.  A treasure indeed is a person with great integrity.
Other words you could replace integrity with would be:honestyprobityrectitudehonorgood characterprinciple(s)ethicsmoralsrighteousnessmoralityvirtue, decencyfairnessscrupulousnesssinceritytruthfulness, trustworthiness.
Protect and defend your family and those that love you.Humble your self so you can see fault and change when needed.Never settle...Always strive to be better!Better in life...Better in your walk with God, with your life with familywith love, with friends, with strangers, with being a better person.Start there and then you can say you're a man.Not when you can act like it's ok.Because that's all it is....an act.being a man is being REAL!
UNWIND:So much on my mind today.  I didn't plan on writing about that but sometimes the Lord takes my heart and turns it. Maybe someone needed to read this today.  I hoped I encouraged you or possibly kicked your rear end in gear.  either way we must not be satisfied with just being...We must always look for how we can be better. What are you doing that could be changed today?  What are you doing right?Don't forget to pat yourself on the back once and awhile too!

Recently, I referred to my man as my knight in shining armor. I found this picture and had to post it.One other VERY important part of manhood....Acts of Chivary. If you don't know just what that is...it's ok, it's not common now-a-days.Look it up.
Yes, My Knight performs these acts as well:)
