Family=Home
We started in the mid-west, where farmland is strong and corn grows tall.
We started young, desperately in love with God and each other.
We started with little money but big hearts and hands that were willing to work.
Those days were long, hard, and usually happy.
We moved from farmland to big country where corn could no longer
grow tall and cattle ruled the land...
Where trees grew crooked instead of straight...
Where my favorite colorful fall no longer came and snow no longer fell.
We have gone through stages of emotion with this new life here.
First it was a new adventure and great but home was still back where
the corn fields grew.
Then it was wanting to leave the miserable hot state.
But now...now, as we left and ventured out on vacation and returned home.
Now we call this our home.
Almost 8 years now...I guess it wiggled its place in our hearts.
Home to me is where my family is.
Not where we live.
We may live in the country or in the city.
We may live where we get to swim outside most of the year or
only a few months of the year.
I've found that none of that truly matters.
We will always find good people to share life with and
people that will frustrate us.
We will find life long friends and short term friends.
All of which have a special place in our hearts.
My life is a busy crazy life for sure.
Most can't understand how I do what I do when they see what I do:)
Everything I do is important because everything I do is
for my family.
It's me keeping my home a home.
As I read through the Proverbs each day, I am careful to teach
and correct my children and myself on those wonderful life tools.
Sometimes when we get busy in life, other things tend to get pushed out.
When I feel super busy, I have to stop and check myself to make sure my priorities
are still on solid ground.
GOD-FAMILY-EDUCATION
There are things that need to be in place for this.
A PLAN!
Being organized and being accountable is the best way.
I have 4 kids that all need to help out so I choose to
"divide and conquer"!
When We have a clean organized home other things fall into place.
We can find things faster:)
We have more time for studies of all kinds.
AND
Mom and Dad are not grumpy.
Family...it's a wonderful thing.
I have a great family. GREAT KIDS! AWESOME HUSBAND!
I AM BLESSED!
We have our moments when we are frustrated with each other.
I fuss at the kids if they leave stuff out or speak harshly to each other.
All in all, we deal with minor issues.
We keep an open door policy...
They are able to go and do as long as they come and talk:)
As long as I am cool and calm.
It works out pretty good.
I've heard fun stories and shocking stories...but they all are
heard with an open mind and gives me a chance to share advice.
Family = HOME
