School options~

How your kids receive an education has nothing to do with 

the opinions of others.

There are options to choose from.  

These options should be taken seriously and prayerfully.

Once you choose an option doesn't mean you're stuck with that option.

~Situations change~

The most common 3 options are Public, private, or homeschool.

We live in a great country that allows us choice.

When my oldest was 5 years old, I didn't realize this choice.

I knew in my heart that I needed to homeschool but I had no idea where to

go from there.

So, like most responsible parents, we put her in school and prayed.

After much prayer and researching, we decided to homeschool her after Christmas that year.

It's now been about 12 years now and it was one of 

the best decisions I've made.

Although I didn't know it then, God would reveal to me the many reasons

He put that passion in my heart.

My journey has had many ups and some downs.

It has made us the strong family we are now.

BUT

As I look the Lord for guidance daily, I've felt His push again regarding schooling.

This time it was not to keep them home but to take them to public school.

I would question to myself if this is God or me.

Peace within my heart confirms to me that God was indeed the source:)

Before, when I would wonder, never would I feel peace about it.

But as I type I feel peace and protection...even excitement:)

I'm excited to be mommy and to assist in homework instead of

always the teacher and harping to get work done.

I'm excited for many reasons.

I also feel like the Lord is freeing me up a bit to be available to help where needed.

I know some ladies that have decided to stop homeschooling and 

sadly they have been judged harshly.

I find this so wrong and against what God wants from us.
I haven't had this towards me and my decision but I also don't allow myself to feel
judged when being lead by God:)
Actually, I feel proud!

So next year, I will have my 3 youngest in school and my oldest will 

finish her senior year at home.
I will be busy like usual but a different busy:)
