Queen of Brussels

As one of my closest friends lay in a hospital bed fighting
for her life...I sit here helpless.
My tears drench my face - shirt - my lap.
I cry out to the Lord PLEASE JESUS...PLEASE DON'T TAKE HER!
I don't stop praying...I won't stop praying.

I decided to write.

I was in an email "loop" for my area.
I got an email from someone that said a lady was moving to my neighborhood
and needed some information about some things.
I love to help people out this way so I emailed her back and that was the start of
our friendship.

By the time I saw her I felt like we'd been friend for awhile.
We were at a Homeschool Field Day and she brought her kids and parents (whom I love).
At this point, I don't think she was 100% sure on home schooling.
I'm pretty sure they had a great time, even though it was a bit of a long day for them...
BUT they left that park with something they were NO expecting.
"TAFFY"
Not the candy. A dog:) Yep, a stray dog just walk up..ran up...right into their hearts!
She's like that.
I'm not sure if she was planning on keeping the dog long term but to this day
the dog stays:) and is a great dog for them.

It was then when Todd and her man might work nights at the same time so we
would...ok, I would go over to her house (she's a fabulous cook!)
and enjoy dinner and adult company.
Sometimes I'd go over even when her hubby was there.
He liked to "share" his spaghetti sauce with others, lol.

She would say how she loved my kids.
How great of a teacher I am to them...all this sweet stuff.
How she wants her oldest to be like mine.
BUT
I think we were both grabbing bits of pieces off each other.
I just told her a couple weeks ago...
I felt lead to have her wake up to a sweet morning message.
Just saying that she wasn't forgotten
(being in AK maybe she might feel that way sometimes)
That I think and pray for her always.
That I miss her :(
That I love her...
I told her that she was a blessing to me and favored in Gods eyes.

I wish I could see her...talk to her...read to her...tell her stories of past fun times.
Then I think.
Her dear husband and sister is there.
They love her so much.
They are doing this I'm sure.
God will meet her needs.
I want to see her smile...maybe even roll her eyes at silliness:)
She is a sweet Godly woman.
One that Loves her husband...no matter what!
Would lay down her life for her kids.
Works hard to do the best she can for her family.
You have seen her post here before.
she calls herself the Queen of brussels sprouts:)
Yeah, there's a story to that one too, lol!

UNWIND:
My heart is trying to steady in the LORD.
