So, my last post I stated my frustration with my love. Good part about marriage is seeing things through. Why do people think that when times get hard it's time to run. It's so...so...childish. Really. I know hard times. I know good times. I know Great times! I know that to get to the great times...even to the the good times...the hard times will be sprinkled in there. Yesterday...oh yesterday....I was at my last straw with this tile. I, for some reason...try as I might, can not cut a straight line. This bothers my husband who can cut a straight line with his eyes close. We were so close on being done and I was so not cutting straight and it was getting on dear darlin's last nerve...here's the thing...I had the thoughts in my head...I can't cut straight enough, go fast enough, carry enough, do enough......and then the chalkiness of the tile started in on me..eating away at any moister I had. I started to melt down. I shut down. I continued to work...b/c I'm not a quitter...I just did it quietly and at the pace I could possibly do it at. We finished...awww. My oldest kept saying be happy you're done but I'd gone over...my nerves were on over drive...I still had all this chalky tile dust sucking the life (it felt like) out of me. Finally the shower came and not a moment too soon. Heaven! The tile is done...at least laying it....at least cutting it. I think we have 1 small line to lay that is already cut that we could not lay until another day. Now for grout. Hopefully this will be a 2 day job...grout and clean....maybe a one day job...grout and wash off later that day. We will start the wood floor soon...very soon and the doors will be painted this week. I will get some much needed help with that from Gram's and Pa. They what to help but have a hard time knowing just what to do. So, I'm glad I have something they can do that will make them feel helpful and help me in the mean time:)
Today we have started our paper-mache planets. What a fun mess! We have 3 round balls hanging in a tree drying. I wonder, how long will it take to dry? 1 or 2 days....I hope not more.
Cleaning up from our big mess we had an accident. You guessed it...Levi:) Yes, He slipped and fell flat on his face. He has a nice knot above his eye. I don't know if we ever get away from an activity w/o a mess and/or and injury:) It's my life and I've learned to go with the punches...literally.
My running consist of me taking Levi to record a speaking part on a CD for Church and then to the grocery store for some much need healthy food and then to special Monday night Football practice. This Monday night Practice will be life from now until...humm well I don't know ...maybe until football starts.
Here's my weeks these days....tell me what you think.
Monday-Football (special practice)
Tuesday-Soccer (all kids-They LOVE this)
Wednesday- Speed, Choir, bible study (only for a little bit longer)
Thursday-Soccer
Friday-Co-op, Speed, Gymnastics (last two will last just for 3 more weeks)
Sat/Sun If I don't have other plans than I work all day on the building....
Busy lady right:) It's a good thing I home school to keep things slow during the day and so we can see each other:) Well, I hope for things to slow down soon. The building will be done very soon. Allot of the activities are coming to an end and so I'll have more of my mind left over at the end of the day to gather what needs to be done:) For now it's fly by my seat and away we go. It works for now but I find peace and more rest in schedules and things that are prepared.
I hope for Hannah to pass her accuplacer test this spring. It will add more running but will be a huge booster for everyone in the household...the whole family!
Unwind.....Well, we stopped early yesterday and my sweet love knew he pushed me too hard. He apologized and hugged me and told me that if it wasn't for me he'd have no help and that he needs help. That was validation that I was enough:) Sweet feeling..ya know!
